Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
Draft notice: this policy describes the data processing actually carried out by this website as built. It has not been reviewed by a qualified UK data protection or legal professional and should be reviewed before relying on it in production.
1. Who We Are
This website is operated by Dara Intelligence Limited ("Dara Intel", "we", "us"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. Dara Intel is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
2. Personal Data We Collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. Currently, the only mechanism on this website that collects personal data is the contact form at /company/contact, which asks for:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Company name and job title
- Country
- The type of enquiry you've selected, and your message
We also derive and store a one-way cryptographic hash of the IP address used to submit the form, for rate-limiting and abuse-prevention purposes. This hash cannot be reversed back into the original IP address.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information you submit through the contact form solely to respond to your enquiry and to maintain a record of business correspondence. We do not use contact form submissions for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process contact form data on the basis of legitimate interests - specifically, responding to enquiries you have voluntarily submitted to us - and, where you enquire about a specific service, in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
5. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and to comply with our legal and accounting obligations. Retention periods have not yet been formally defined and should be set as part of a full data protection review.
6. Processors & Third-Party Services
The following third parties process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. - Turnstile, our CAPTCHA-alternative bot-protection challenge, processes limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) when you submit the contact form, in order to verify you are not an automated bot.
- Hosting & database providers - the website and its database are hosted with third-party infrastructure providers who store data on our behalf under their own security controls.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. International Transfers
Some of our third-party processors (including Cloudflare) operate infrastructure outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards those providers make available (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). This should be confirmed as part of a formal review of our processor agreements.
8. Cookies & Analytics
This website does not currently set first-party tracking or analytics cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies or use similar technology as part of its bot -detection challenge when you submit the contact form. If analytics or marketing tools are added in future, this policy will be updated accordingly and consent will be requested where required.
9. Security
We apply technical measures appropriate to the data we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), input validation, rate limiting, and restricting database access to authorised systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@daraintel.io.
11. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
